The Howell Public School District recently approved the Our Kids, Our Community, Our Future bond that – among other things – paved the way for a new community center to be built next to the Howell High School Fieldhouse. Planning for the community center building began in January 2025, and continued throughout the year. In March 2026, the Board of Education approved a bid for the pre-engineered metal building, effectively kicking off the development of the project. The Board projects to break ground in the Fall of 2026.
